Look Forward To The New Year

Hey Everybody, hope you had a wonderful Holiday weekend. I really enjoyed seeing some family and old friends but as usual I am a workaholic and I am back on my grind ! As I always say "Music is my Life!" Last Friday, I released my Xmas Compilation CD called "Christmas 2K9 with Shire'(Sha-ray) & Friends" that featured songs from R-Kelly, Musiq Soulchild , Mary J Blige and other legendary artist and I got over 5,000 downloads. The 2 songs that I uploaded to my, myspace page : www.myspace.com/shireuniversal have about 58,000 plays in 2weeks, which is wonderful!

I did a few more radio interviews since my last blog with a station in Greensboro, NC and Winston Salem, NC. Please go to my, myspace to hear it, its called "Radio City". They love my buzz record "Love Don't Fail Me" feat Maino down there. I also just did another 1 hour radio interview last night in Phoeniz, AZ. Shout out to my girl, J-Milly for holding me down out there. Let me see what else is going on...??

The 2 smash club records produced by the platinum producer from France that I recorded 2 weeks ago have been received very well over there and in the UK. They say they absolutely love my voice because I'm a "real Singer" and they want me to come over there to perform soon, so I am very excited about that of course. I am definitely looking forward to broadening my fan base.

Hopefully in January, my label, SRC/Universal Motown will be ready to finally get behind me and support all of my hard work and effort showing them that I am worthy of my opportunity to shine and to make them a lot of money this year! I would like to see them prepare for an "official" release of a new Single (no more leak records) and put me on the schedule to finally release my Debut Album, "Pickin Up The Pieces" which is definitely finished by the way. Can u give me a release date some time in late Spring/Summer. Can we do that y'all ??

Working Til Christmas

Hey Everybody, hope you had a wonderful weekend. Still on my grind ! Music is my Life! I have been recording non-stop for the past 2 weeks; one smash record after another. I am happy to say that I finally finished my Xmas CD Compilation called "Christmas 2K9 with Shire'(Sha-ray) & Friends" with featured songs from R-Kelly, Musiq Soulchild , Mary J Blige and others. I uploaded two songs from it to my, myspace page : www.myspace.com/shireuniversal over the weekend and I already got 12k PLAYS on each song, That is terrific! The full CD will be available for Free Downloads everywhere this Friday 12/18/2K9. Make sure that you get your copy before the Holiday.

I also recorded 2 smash up tempo club type records over the weekend produced by a platinum producer from France who absolutely just loves my voice. He wants me to come over there after the new year to do some touring so I am very excited about that and I am definitely looking forward to broadening my fan base. Hopefully my label, SRC/Universal Motown will be ready to get things moving with me and supporting all of my efforts by preparing for the release of a new Single and my Album, which is finished by the way, just waiting for all of the clearances and paperwork to be done.

New Weekend Update

Hey Everybody, hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was full of surprises and more work dropped in my lap. But work is good! Back on my grind ! Music is my Life! As i said in my last Blog I have so much to talk about but I can't do it all in one blog ! I just recorded 2 smash up tempo records over the weekend produced by a very well known producer and he was in NY shopping the song to different labels, like Def Jam, Capitol, J Reords and others and people have been going crazy over it. I even sent them to my publisher Ron Moss @ Rondor/Universal and even he loves it. Yeahh!! Shout out to Ron.. thanks for the advice !!

I am now finishing up a Xmas Compilation CD (Mixtape) of my rendition of a few of my favorite Xmas songs along with a few guest appearances by some music Friends, such as Colby O'Donis, Sir Charles (New Uni/Motown Artist), Joe and others. I will have the CD available for download on this site, myspace, facebook, etc. I will be doing another mixtape at the top of next year and it will be available by Grammy weekend, and then hopefully my label will be ready to get things in order to begin supporting my record and preparing for the release of a new Single and my Album.

Looking Forward !

Hey Everybody, I just haven't been able to get focused on my Blogging since my wonderful Trip To LA and then the Thanksgiving Holiday visiting my close family and friends in Baltimore. I'm sorry for that but I'm back!! Back on my grind ! Still fighting for my love of music ! I have so much to talk about but I can't do it all in one blog ! Report From LA

Hello everybody, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. WOW, so much to say..I just got back from LA since Thursday of last week..I attended a screening for a new TV Series that I have a small role in and it was very exciting to seeing all of the cast members.. I will also be writing some new songs to incorporate into the show, Yeah!! I know that GOD is at work in my life right now, because things are turning around. I am continuing to push my single "Love Don't Fail Me" feat Maino. I am gonna be working wit my boy Maino again for his new project real soon. Big shout out goes out to him again for his new record with Alicia Keys "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart" feat Maino and the new street anthem " I'm Tryna Win" Feat Maino and Jim Jones.. Keep Hustling Maino cuz I know I am! I definitely wish my label would piggy-back my song on the back his new songs ! Oh well.. All I can say is hopefully I have my label's blessing and support in 2010. I Just gotta keep on pushing on my own and hopefully I will finally get that album date for early 2010. LA Week Update

Hello everybody, Sorry for missing my daily blogg yesterday, but things are really starting to heat up for me both musically and some acting. I will be in LA later this week (Thursday)attending a screening for a new TV Series on Showtime that I will have a small role in. I pray that I nail this role so that they can increase it to a bigger role or maybe even a main character. They've already confirmed incorporating some of my music into the show, Yeah!! I may also be shooting an interview on the Brian McKnight show while I'm in LA; just waiting on the clearance from my label. I know that GOD is at work in my life right now and I am very prayerful that it will all work out.

On the music side, I am continuing to push my single "Love Don't Fail Me" feat Maino. In fact I just spoke to my boy Maino and a big shout out goes to him for his new record with Alicia Keys "Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart" feat Maino. He is continuing to "Hustle Hard" and so am I. I wish I could piggy-back my song on the back of their song cuz I know that it's gonna be a huge success! All I can say is hopefully I have the blessing and support of my label in 2010. Long Weekend

Hello everybody, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I have definitely been on my grind working on some new projects and writing and collaborating with other artist and producers on some upcoming projects. Speaking of that I am a little sad because I was supposed to be performing this Friday in NY at Gramercy Theatre with Ruthless Record's Stevie Stone and Royce Da 5'9 of Slaughterhouse on the "KOD TOUR". I am featured on both of their record's for their upcoming albums, however that show was cancelled. Stay tuned because I may be doing a few other cities with them. I'm keeping my fingers crossed with that and look forward to 2010 and the release of their albums and of course my own called "Pickin Up The Pieces"

In the meantime I am continuing to push my single "Love Don't Fail Me" feat Maino. I just did another interview with Hows My Rolling Radio and howsmyrolling.net. I gave kudos to my label President Steve Rifkind for taken a chance and believing in me. I talked about my place in the music biz and why the game needs me ..LOL! We need real artist and real singers back in the game and my urban appeal and my story will relate to every young woman in the "hood" across america and the world! As usual they were very impressed when I sang my song live for them. However, the ongoing question is always "when is the single gonna be available for sale and when is the album coming out." My Weekend Update

I'm in Full Rotation @ WYTT 99.5 Jamz

What up's world? Just doing my daily check in, but this blog will be short and sweet I promise. Basically, I just wanted y'all to know that the Program Director, CJ Riddick @ WYTT 99.5 JAMZ in Virginia that added my song Love Don't Fail Me a couple weeks ago, has been showing me some mad love! A Big shout out goes out to CJ, Thanks so much! He sent the playlist to CK and it is getting 24 spins per week down there. WOW, that's med/heavy rotation and just think.. Universal Motown hasn't even kicked in yet with their promotions. I can't wait to see what happens when they do.. I think I could have a top 5 record with the right push behind it. What A Weekend!!

Hey Everybody, thanks for checkin in with me again. Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Well Friday I had a really great interview with Nick D of 90.9FM WQFS in Greensboro, NC "Radio City". We talked about the state of the music biz and what I think I bring to the business, my short & long term goals and of course my new single "Love Don't Fail Me" , which he assures me they are playing in rotation down there and the release of my debut album "Pickin Up The Pieces" hopefully due out early 2010.
From there I had to go to Atlantic City for an appearance at Jay Z's 40/40 Club. Then on Saturday, I was back in the studio writing and recording and I did this crazy hook called "Aint Da Same Game" for this West Coast Producer/Rapper named "EA-Ski". He hit my manager CK after he got it going CRAZY!!!! So I guess he was really happy..He said its gonna be his first single..so we'll see..
Sunday i just wanna forget about.. Both My Ravens and Eagles Lost, so needless to say it wasn't a good day!

Leaving Cleveland

I had a great and productive trip here in Cleveland. Cleveland's HipHop Awards was my first time presenting an award and I really enjoyed myself. I met some very talented artist and producers that are heavy on their grind. My publicist Ginger also attended this trip and she as well put her stamp on the event. She is co-producing MTV2's "World Hiphop Championship" for a MILLION DOLLARS!!! Yes you heard it right! Damn makes me wish I was an MC,LOL!!! But hopefully some of the artist we met will go to that website and SIGN UP! Well it's now 620am and I'm at the airport about to depart Cleveland. I want to thank again all the DJ's and Radio Personalities for showing me love with my song and I can't wait to see them again!

Cipo & Baxx Showroom

Wow I am in Love! Today I went to the Showroom of Cipo & Baxx and they have some of the most Amazing Jeans!!! I mean I've never had such great luck trying on multiple pairs of jeans. They are newly here in the States but are very big in the UK and Germany. And even though the jeans were my highlight of today they also have Sneakers, shirts, bags etc... I'm so happy my Wonderful Publicist Ginger set this up for me to meet them and that I will be wearing the line for Cleveland's Hiphop Awards held tomorrow @6pm!

One more day till Cleveland

Hey Fam!  I'm just putting my show cd together for Cleveland's HipHop Awards and also preparing to meet with the Fashion Designer  for Cipo & Baxx to dress me for the events. It should be really fun. I just have to run around CRAZY in the morning for last minute stuff before my flight. I will definitely keep everyone posted!

Football has finally begun!!

I am so excited about football season.  It is truly my favorite sport.  My favorite 3 teams are the Steelers, Ravens and the Eagles. Yes that's Right I'm a Michael Vick fan!  I really would like to see Michael Vick do his thing this year and remind people who he really is and that's A Great Quarterback.  As far as the Ravens I'm cheering for new starting running back Ray Rice. I absolutely love and appreciate my friend Ray Lewis, The BEST LINEBACKER IN THE GAME!!  I would love to see them bring it all the way to the  Playoffs for sure.. And last but not least the Steelers. Well what can I say they are BEAST, 6 x's Super Bowl Champions and hey they playing tonight for the first NFL Game of the Season. Yes Football has finally begun!!

Summer Almost Gone
